“All-Sky what?”
Have you ever observed a meteor and regretted not having had the opportunity to photograph it?
Well personally it has happened to me several times and therefore, looking on the web the several examples of existing open sources projects (i.e. the great Thomas Jacquin one!) , I thought it was time to build an “all-sky camera” that could observe and record everything that happens during the whole night over my head.
I worked on this project during the last years thanks also to the the contributes received from our big followers!

Margherita (this is the name of the All-Sky Camera in honor of the Italian astrophysicist Margherita Hack) is installed in Serramanna, a town in the plains of Sardinia.
In the period between sunset and sunrise you can observe the night sky and the stars in it live.
You can also view the timelapse videos, startrails and Keograms made in the previous nights, as well as access the page where all the photos showing the shooting stars captured are present!
